This blew me away.
First off new favourite Sarah J. Maas book. (Yes! I loved this more than Throne of Glass)

It had so many elements in it that made it such an amazing book. Characters, world, plot, pacing, intensity, and tastefulness.

I went to a book signing, as I said in my Throne of Glass book review, and she had us sign the first edition of Throne of Glass and everyone started signing the book and it was amazing. When I was getting closer to the line, someone had asked her to take five pictures with her and Sarah said, "Of course. Don't even have to ask." She's so sweet.

Now as an author, she is brilliant. Utterly brilliant. The Throne of Glass series is one of my favorite series of all time. It's such a great book series with fairies and assassins and Celaena and Chaol. Hell yes. She writes so beautifully and she creates characters that are so different yet the same from one another. I can't believe how much I love this series. It's so creative and so fun and so amazing.

So I was obviously excited for this book. I had no idea that this was going to be a Beauty and the Beast retelling, but I could've guessed that from the synopsis on Goodreads. The only Beauty and the Beast retelling I had recently was Cruel Beauty by Rosamond Hodge and it was good, not the best in my opinion.

I sat down and ate this book up like chocolate. It was captivating and it was hard to put down. I love every little bit of this book. I love Feyre, I love Tamlin, I love Lucien, I love Rhysand, I love everyone except for the villain. But you're suppose to.

This was probably the best book I have read SO FAR in 2015 and it's going to be a fantastic series. It was creative. It was fun. It was beautifully written.

Compared to Celaena from Throne of Glass, I liked Feyre's voice a little bit more. I don't know if that's just because ToG is told in third-person, whereas ACOTAR is told from Feyre's point-of-view. She did think like Celaena at parts, in the sense of handling situations and such. Feyre's disgust for Fae was really interesting to read, because if her and Celaena were to meet, Feyre would slice her face off. Just sayin'.

Tamlin was a interesting love interest. Though he wasn't beastly, his beast form was described very well. I was picturing the Beast from Beauty and The Beast animated movie. In his Fae form, the thing I found most interesting was his fascination with Feyre as soon as he brings her to his kingdom. It wasn't creepy, nor was it romantic. But as the story went on, I found Tamlin to be a really compelling character. He cares for Feyre and he cares for Lucien and Alis and hates Amarantha (I think that's how you spell her name. If you know comment please). I loved him.

Lucien was pretty cool, Alis was pretty interesting, I didn't like Rhysand for a long time, and I hated HATED Aramantha. She was freakin' annoying.

LOVED IT!!!!

I love Beauty and the beast so when I heard about this book I knew I had to read it. As soon as the beast came to take our main character I knew I would love this. I loved Feyre (or however it's spelled) and thought that Tampin was a great love interest. Now, the book was kindle slow for like the first half or so but I still loved that. I really enjoyed getting to know the land and the characters. The last 200 pages though, were AMAZING!! I found myself becoming short of breath and ...more

WOW! I LOVED this book! I honestly cannot fault this book. There was even a pronunciation list at the back (which was definitely needed). Sarah J Maas is amazing at creating beautiful worlds and this was no exception. I would love to live in the Spring Court (just without the evil magical creatures and psycho Amarantha of course). I loved how badass Feyre was in the trials and the ending was satisfying but still left you with a million questions. I cannot wait for the sequel!!!!! Sarah J Maas yo ...more
