This is more like a 4.5/5 but I want to give it 5 because it had so many things that I love in books!!
The beginning was a tiny bit slow and there was something about the Beauty and the Beast "re-telling" that was bothering me. But as soon as the story became its own I was hooked! I wish that we got a POV from Tamlin because it would have made this book even better.

This review is coming a couple of days late because I’ve just had my COVID vaccine and I had to recover, anyway, I’ve just finished “A Court Of Thorns And Roses” or “ACOTAR” as it’s commonly referred to, by Sarah J Maas. It was a reread but I’m VERY glad that I did reread it. I’m going to try and reread all the books throughout this year to get ready for the now newly released “A Court Of Silver Flames,” which I’ll hopefully read at the beginning of next year (I already own it!) Anyway, I absolu ...more

I was incredibly apprehensive about this book. I loved the Throne of Glass series, and a part of me knew I was going to like this book, but I didn't want to try it. I've read one two many *cough Cruel Beauty cough* Beauty and the Beast retellings. But I was not expecting to like this book as much as I did. I will say it's a cross between a fairy book and the Hunger Games-- with a dash of Beauty and the Beast.

Maas has accrued many fans with her (also fun) series, Throne of Glass; this story is, in my opinion, even better. The characters are flawed, and nuanced. The main character in particular has suffered some major things in her life, and that has very obviously shaped her. Her growth then feels pretty natural. The world Maas has created s

I struggled with picking the 5 star rating as I'm VERY picky about rating books so high. I ALMOST chose 4 but honestly I just really enjoyed reading this. I love books that bring me out of a slump. I haven't had a 5 star rating in a while. I didn't really love her other series Throne of Glass even though I hear it gets better as the series goes on (I only read the first book). But this one blew me away. I loved the character of Feyre I loved that she wasn't perfect and had plenty of flaws. But m
