This was actually the first book I read that where both Detective Rizzoli and Dr. Isles were featured as main characters. I was almost worried that Jane Rizzoli might not be prominent in this book, but I was surprised to learn that she actually has a really nice side story. The plot was very interesting from Beginning to end. I took Crowe to be an asshole in The Surgeon but here I feel he was just stuck-up like a tv cop. I have to say that the show, though I love it, has nearly ruined the books
