I am at a loss to describe how deeply this novel moved me. Henryk Sienkiewicz wrote such an engrossing story, from beginning to end. I had been wanting to read Quo Vadis ever since I can remember because I thought it might help me understand how Christianity not only survived but grew exponentially under the brutal and repressive rule of the Roman Empire, and Nero in particular. Sienkiewicz, who was awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature for this beautiful novel, not only answered that question b
