I am at a loss to describe how deeply this novel moved me. Henryk Sienkiewicz wrote such an engrossing story, from beginning to end. I had been wanting to read Quo Vadis ever since I can remember because I thought it might help me understand how Christianity not only survived but grew exponentially under the brutal and repressive rule of the Roman Empire, and Nero in particular.
