A strange novel. I expected a horror novel with a big part of it revolving around the moment Dr. Frankenstein creates his monster, but it was a novel about feelings, creating, and a lot of symbolism of other works of art such as "Paradise Lost".

It’s truly amazing that this great classic was not only Mary Wollstonecraft Shelley's first novel, but that she wrote it when she was only 18 years old! Her story was so ingenious for its time, and so well developed and told. I’m sure she shocked the literary world with this tragic tale of the world’s favorite “mad scientist”.
