I know, I know. I am supposed to love this and appreciate its simplicity and its poetic qualities. But, I cannot tell a lie, and this just didn’t do anything for me at all. I wasn’t swept up into the language, I didn’t feel the setting, I didn’t like any of the characters, and I didn’t understand what motivated any of them. In short, it was all lost on me. The end felt abrupt and unsatisfying, which was no matter because I was glad to have it over and done.

–No quiero hacerlo. No quiero verlo morir.
