One of my all-time favorites: Not only is the character mythical and the story iconic, but the book itself, the writing, is brilliant. So mischievous and poignant, the language magical and precise.

Lines like , "Years rolled on again, and Wendy had a daughter. This out not to be written in ink but in a golden splash"... how good is that?!

A children's classic I couldn't believe I'd never read! This Peter is a much darker and more sinister version than my perceptions from popular culture but this gives the original story a different dimension. I very much enjoyed it in a melancholy kind of way. ...more
