A longer review to follow.
Living along the southern end of the Mississippi River, and reading one Twain book a year, had put this novel on my TBR for quite a while. I didn't know exactly what to expect. It was definitely not humorous like The Innocents Abroad, Or, the New Pilgrims' Progress - a book I certainly hope to re-read again someday.
