Great Expectations by Charles Dickens is a wonderful story with many characters rich in diversity and complexity. I thoroughly enjoyed this book! I had read it in high school, but I honestly don't remember anything about it other than Miss Havisham and the wedding cake. LOL. I'm so glad I decided to re-read it. Dickens is so adept at creating atmosphere and creating such wonderful three-dimensional characters. I loved the unpredictability of the plot, and the development of Pip's character. He was such a product of 19th century industrialized England.
