Wow. I am seriously at a loss for words. I was really looking forward to this book and am sitting here flabbergasted. Just wow. Ok, deep breath, here we go.

As I began to read this book I was instantly confused as hell. Things seemed real but then were not real at all and couldn't be. So good. What are people doing watching Game of Thrones? Read this! It's better. Of course I think this would make a great miniseries but Gabriel Garcia Marquez apparently owned the rights (?) and was picky so there might be an indefinite delay on that. It's so hard to pick a favorite character, but I'll have to say Ursula just because she is alive for so long (!). Hundreds of years of Colombian history are told subtly through this story.
