Read for Victober 2017.

I finished reading this book a couple weeks ago and if I had reviewed it immediately I would have given it 3 stars, maximum. However in the intervening days the book has grown in my esteem. I cannot explain why that happens -- books grow or fade in my esteem as time passes and I often cannot explain why that is. My biggest disappointment concerned the characters, they were all very endearing but, in my opinion, not develop

Read for my Books to Movies Writing Seminar. I remember being surprised how well the fantasy aspects hold up over time and over re-imaginings of vampires. The end action becomes a blur in my mind, it could probably use a rereading, but I admit I'd go back to Interview with the Vampire first. ...more
