I'll start out by saying that if you love Hallmark movies, you'll love this book. But that's not exactly true. I think if you dislike Hallmark movies, you'll still love this book. If you ever find yourself rooting for the "villain" to have their own happy ending, this book will make its way into your own heart. Oops, I did it again—read yet another romance that
a. Has a cartoon cover
b. Fetishizes New York City
c. References the Philadelphia Story
d. Describes the love interest’s eyes as being a molten pool of caramel/smoldering maple/burnt sugar/smoldering wisps of amber, blah blah food reference blah blah extreme weather reference

This one is supposed to be a love story from the perspective of the city girl-type in Hallmark movies who keeps getting dumped by boyfriends that travel to small towns and fall ...more
