I won't rate this since I didn't get very far into it. I only managed just under 2 hours of audio. I've never read this author before so I was not prepared for her type of writing style. I had a difficult time getting into the story let alone understanding wtf was going on. Plus I am not a fan of authors doing their own narration of their audiobooks. I rarely enjoy it. This is a demanding, difficult read - Toni Morrison does not talk down to her audiences; she expects you to keep up and she doesn't wait for you to catch up before moving on to the next metaphor so delicate that it can be completely lost by the inattentive reader. This novel is sweeping, painful and ultimately rewarding.
