A fun young adult thriller/mystery with a Nancy Drew style protagonist.
This is the sort of book I probably would have unabashedly loved as a teen, a mystery full of drama and intrigue and danger, and the risk-taking independent heroine hiding behind the studious exterior. Pip feels that Sal did not commit the murder. She just KNOWS. So she decides to make proving Sal innocent her senior capstone project and begins unraveling the mysteries of a supposedly open and shut case. Pip gets a lot more than she bargained for, but she will go to any crazy length to solve this mystery. This was an increasingly suspenseful read.
