Cute but felt a little drawn out

A quick, light, and entertaining read that was only slightly too long. The book traces a long friendship between the two main characters. They met in college and started a tradition of taking vacations together every summer. Over time, of course, they come to realize that they want to be more than friends but aren't sure how to make that happen and/or are afraid they'll lose their friendship by exploring romance.

It took me a bit to get into Poppy and Alex. However, I was listening on audio, and I was most road tripping on my own while I listened, so it didn't take too long. Poppy is a tricky character to love, for me, because her life is so terribly different from mine. Yeah, we both consider ourselves writers, but she's a travel writer, and I only kinda sorta like traveling. (Maybe if my job paid for so much of it, it would be different.)
