Shelves: magical-realism, sweet

Loved this. So sweet and hopeful and uplifting but not cloying, and the library part was so cool. This is a book that made me sit back and really appreciate my life. It just felt GOOD to read, you know?

I guess I was sort of a sucker for the message in this book because I rated it 5 stars. I would love to see a movie or miniseries adaptation of this book. The concept of trying out different lives and being able to address past regrets has always fascinated me. Often, doing things differently or doing what we think we should have done wouldn’t have resulted in a better outcome. This book sort of reminds me of the Canadian show Being Erica because the main character was able to go back in time an ...more

I don’t remember adding this book to my list, so I can’t remember where I heard about it – all that to say I went into it with no expectations or idea of what it was about. It wasn’t anything like what I was expecting, whatever that was – and while the last chapter and a half were a little meh, overall I really enjoyed it. The idea of a multi-verse, of it not mattering what you’re looking at, but rather what you see, of regrets set free... I liked it!
