It was... interesting. I really don't know what to think about it.
What was horrible was truly horrible.
What Langdon did with Candide was horrible, the discussion about black people after that... blood curdling.

I really wanted to give this a higher rating but I struggled my way through it. The idea was good but it was just so long and I don't think I really cared what happened. The story finally picks up when we got to the courtroom but it had been laborious up until then. However, I was interested in the historical notes and how the story drew from similar accounts from the era.
