I enjoy listening to thrillers as audiobooks, because it's kind of like those old radio plays like The Shadow, plus you can zone out now and then and it doesn't matter. I have a weakness for action heroes, and Mitch Rapp is one of my favorite badasses.

This book describes the beginning of Rapp's career, and a certain amount of tension is lost since we know Rapp and Hurley will survive their adventures. The only question is how many people they kill on the way. It was still entertaining. ...more

I had seen the movie version first, but, as expected, the book was way better. Mitch Rapp is an exciting character, and I am looking forward to reading about his future missions. In this book, we see how he becomes the elite operative he is. Hurley is a character you think you should hate at first, but he soon grows on you, as he does for Mitch.
