I enjoyed this book almost as much as I did Good in Bed>, which is saying quite a lot. Weiner's recent works, Goodnight Nobody> and The Guy Not Taken>, were alright, but didn't have that voice that I fell in love with.

Well, Cannie Shapiro is back in this book, and with her comes the voice I love.

This book is told from the perspectives of Cannie and 12-year-old daughter, Joy. Weiner knows how to develop characters, and seemed to really "get" the attitude of a 12-year-old. I have to say, in the
