Guilty pleasure series done. It was hard to get used to the perspective changing between Tris and Tobias. I would get confused forgetting Tobias's chapters were his. I enjoyed all the backstory explaining their dystopic civilization but wasn't happy about the big event late in the book, which I'm kind of glad I knew about already. Overall, mediocre writing but an interesting story. Research into what my students read done for now. Back to more serious literature! ...more

What the flippin' heck did I just read?? It didn't end the way I had thought!!
I read Divergent and Insurgent last year, and for some reason never got to the third book. I think the hype is dying down, and I'd forgotten characters and events in the previous two books. Found myself sludging through this one. I think I only really read it for Tris and Four's romance... ...more
