Really disappointing end to this series. Also I HATE new POVs being introduced when previous books were a single POV. Hate. Hate. Hate.

This was....another odd trilogy closer, which seems to the be the pencent of YA lately. I'm very glad the ending happened, even though I was spoiled for it, and in the end it was knowing the ending that got me to read the book several months after it had come out. I had a lot of problems with this book, and they've been reflecting back and forth between the moving and the end of the series.

Wow. What a conclusion. I can't say I enjoyed this one as much as the first two, but it was definitely a good read. It was really hard for me to distinguish between Tris and Tobias' voices as the chapters alternated between the two characters. I kept reading a chapter and forgetting whose perspective it was and getting confused. This ended pretty much the way I was expecting from the beginning of Divergent. This third book was better than the middle one, IMHO.

My biggest problem with this whole series, although I noticed it especially in this book, is that I didn't always find it easy to know whose point of view the chapter was from just from the characters alone -- Tris and Tobias should have had voices that were different enough to not need the chapter headings telling who pov we getting. But they aren't. There were also some plot devices that were pretty ridiculous. Regardless, I still liked the series and this book. ...more
