this book was a goddamn hot mess. the characters felt like sloppy caricatures of trendy YA characters - not every young woman needs to be Katniss Everdeen, for fuck's sake, one was enough; the multiple rebellions were confusing and ill designed and were even called uprisings; shit got real but was halted just in time by a timely sacrifice and ~the power of love~. This was....another odd trilogy closer, which seems to the be the pencent of YA lately. I'm very glad the ending happened, even though I was spoiled for it, and in the end it was knowing the ending that got me to read the book several months after it had come out. I had a lot of problems with this book, and they've been reflecting back and forth between the moving and the end of the series.
