Dreaming was for people with nothing better to do.
I finished!! All 824 pages, whoa. And let me just get this out of the way now: THIS WAS FANTASTIC! THIS WAS A WONDERFUL ENDING TO THE LUNAR CHRONICLES SERIES!! Of course, “fantastic” does not mean “perfect” ... this was a hot mess of a book.
The Lunar Chronicles follows the adventures of Cinder and her ragtag group of friends: Cinder and Kai, and Cinder’s android sidekick, Iko (from Cinder), Scarlet and Wolf (from Scarlet), Cress and Captai ...more

This is the final book in Meyer's Lunar Chronicles series, which is a fun series. The primary character in each book is very loosely based on a fairy tale character. First we had Cinder (Cinderella), then Scarlet (Little Red Riding Hood) and Cress (Rapunzel). Princess Winter of Luna is our Snow White, destined to be doomed by an evil stepmother's apple.

I'm just really gratified that Winter is apparently brown, and I hope that I'm not misreading that, and I hope she's not "olive," and I hope if there's a movie they don't fuck it up, and also I like her a whole lot and also this was a bit too long and felt derivative but I think it's not derivative so much as every epic SFF tale ends this way but also it's funny and pretty great and problematic but I love the series anyway the end.

Winter is a nice end to this series.

The final book in the Lunar Chronicles series. It had been over a year since I read the previous book in the series so I had to do a bit of digging up of my memories to get into this one. It was a great wrap up to the series. I recommend this series to fans of sci-fi retellings of classic fairy tales.
