While none of these stories are personal, I feel like I better understand BJ Novak. Each story seems a little like the premise for a bit, the beginning of a comedy sketch that pushes the boundaries. A comedy roast of Nelson Mandela, a kid who wins the prize in the cereal box and it messes with his family dynamic, an adorable story about the origins for the classic math train problem, a variation of the life after death story, and more. That Ryan from the Office s very creative! Some of these stories are very, very good. Others... not so much. But one of them were incredibly entertaining and some made me laugh out loud. I think this was actually improved by listening to it on audio. It was as if Ryan was the star of every story. Lena Dunham and Mindy Kalling were good additions as well.

The stories ranged from fine to really great. I enjoyed that all were quirky, offbeat or unexpected in some way. I also recommend this audiobook as read by the author with some special guest appearances.
I expected this book to be funny but did not understand most of the stories. Tough book to listen, which is disappointing for the people that were involved.
