Usually I don't even bother with Goodreads books with such low average ratings (especially the fluffy romance/chick lit kinds that end up being trite, gimmicky, and horribly written), but in this case I'm glad I gave this a shot -- I LOVED this cute, fun read! The writing is smarter-than-usual for the genre and, at times, very effective, bouncing back between Lucy's and Owen's parallel stories.

I really wanted to love this book. And I probably would have but I listened to the audiobook and the narrators weren’t very good. They sounded young and whiny. 😕 This really distracted from the story for me. Which makes me sad because I’ve loved every other book by this author.
