What Members Thought

I was surprised to find myself quite enjoying this book. It was certainly unusual, and at times a little gross. Of course, that's hard to avoid when dealing with zombies. I laughed out loud, however, on more than one occasion. It was such a hoot reading about these classic characters dealing with nasty "unmentionables" in as sophisticated a manner as possible.

80 percent original text and 20 percent ultra violent zombie mayhem. Eh. This book takes many relationship twists and human will that is so wonderfully articulated in the original and uses zombie wars as the reason for why people do the things they do. All human motivation is defined, and that is Austen’s talent. This has promise, but sort of let me down.

I loved the idea of this book. Take a great book and add zombies! I was all set for some light-hearted fun. Too bad the book commits a major no-no. The author actually makes quite a few changes to the plot that have nothing to do with zombies, and let's face it: Jane Austen doesn't need help.

This was okay...I kept wanting to go back to the original and remember what really happenned. Zombies didn't actually drive the plot, just sort of haphazardly inserted.

I'm looking forward to reading this, but don't think it will beat Lizzy the Vampire Slayer! Genette rules!!

I've read Pride and Prejudice once and it kind of bored me. This made it quite a lot more interesting.
