My, but this was a disturbing choice to listen to while working out at the gym on dark rainy mornings. I almost felt that I was running from the narrator as I plodded along on the elliptical or treadmill with the excellent narration of Norman Dietz in my ears. I didn't recognize the narrator's name, but I would listen to other books he's read.

The only reason I didn't rate this 1 star is because after a while, the main character's ridiculously pathetic personality became almost funny. But maybe that's the point. I found this book to be a difficult read because of its slow pace. The rants of the character can be interesting but I grew tired of them quickly. If only he would have ended with some sort of successful redeeming quality. But then I guess he wouldn't have been true to himself. It was okay I guess, thank goodness it was short.
