A dark but easy page-turning read, Odd Thomas by Dean Koontz is about a twenty-year-old who can see the dead. He also sees evil, dark spirits he calls bodachs. Bodachs are harbingers of death, they only appear just before particularly violent deaths.

When Odd sees bodachs swarming in greater numbers than he's ever before witnessed he has to figure out what is going to happen, who is responsible, and whether or not he can stop it.

This was a really great book. The main character is so endearing and really keeps you interested in what happens to him. The side characters are all wonderfully fleshed out without taking over the story and the plot itself is fascinating. I found myself reading under my desk at work to get the book finished because I just didn't want to put it down. ...more
