I pretty much devoured this book. This has a really cool spin on the genre, and I'm not going to be specific because the less you know going into this book the better! I loved the voice of the main character, but I was also surprised at how much my feels towards other characters changed as the story progressed. I had no idea that "M. R. Carey" was MIKE CAREY!!! Now I'm even more excited to read this! Happily, it is on hold for me at my library :-)

Shelves: adult-fiction, zombies, dystopia, audiobook, 2016

I did this as an audiobook and enjoyed the reader. I liked the different perspectives of narrating the story. This was creepy for sure a kind of zombie story. I was listening to this as the 2016 elections were coming to a close and the country elected Donald Trump. This was escapism for me, so it was far less scary than the real world.

I though some of the plot points were week, the junkets attacking the base(?) but overall it was a well told tale of a future I hope we never encounter.
