I didn't forget about this book but I considered abandoning it, especially after I struggled with Chapters 6 to 10. However, I restarted it and committed to finishing it. I can see why this book is a classic. Wilde’s writing is beautiful and the dialog is witty and engaging. But this book left me feeling down and disheartened. I didn’t enjoy reading at all. The characters had zero redeeming characteristics! (I realize that’s what Wilde intended.)
