I finished it. It developed a plot somewhere in the second half and I actually wanted to know what happened. But I don't really care about any of the characters. I am not really into "paranoramal romance". I do not like the kind of vampire depicted here. I appreciate the "updated" elements (lesbian aunts! ok fine, they're ok. Acknowledgement of the existence of casual sex! but the main characters who are ostensibly in love don't have sex because "ooooh special". MEH).

I really am enjoying this series, but man am I reading it slow. I'm not really sure why I can't seem to read these ones quickly, but the plot is strong and the characters are well-written... I still recommend it.

It feels like it took me forever to read this one, but it was good overall. A little long and slow to get started but it definitely picked up about halfway through. Diana is a historian and while at at a library one day she accidentally unlocks an ancient book using her long forgotten magic (she's in denial about her witchy background). Of course this unleashes a whole bunch of evil and she has to finally become what she's tried her whole life to deny. I'm sure I'll read the next one...in time.
