2.75 rounding up - A pretty good diversion, but a little longer than I needed and I’m not raring to get the next even with the non-ending of this one. I liked the overall premise although I found little to be very original related to witch and vampire tropes - the demons added some spice. The cat-and-mouse at the beginning between the main characters felt long and usually that’s my favorite part of romance storylines. I started this back in Boston Summer 2018 and got halfway through (book). And then never picked it up again until recently.

I bought both the audible and kindle and powered through, also rereading the portion I had in 2018.

Solid book. Great historical fiction and I have a feeling it’s only going to get better. I really enjoyed. I will definitely read the second.
