I've read quite a few fantasy books in my lifetime, and I kept hearing about how amazing this book is, and after hearing that Patrick Rothfuss was interested in helping Nathan Fillion revive Firefly I decided to finally take the plunge and check out his work.

Completely addicting. Kept me up several nights. Rothfuss completely sucks you into his world of magic and intrigue, centered around the hero Kvothe. The story jumps between Kvothe's life story and his present. Kvothe is, of course, absolutely brilliant and a savant when it comes to magic. After a tragic family incident, Kvothe is obsessed with learning about the evil Chadrian and how to control the elements.
