This is my week of exploring the world of Veronica Roth, captured in the books of the Divergent trilogy. Unfortunately, after a strong start and middle, Allegiant fell in my esteem. The reason for this is quite simple - and not at all tied to the "shocking" end that had the blogosphere in an uproar (I remember seeing all of that and, having yet to pick up Divergent, just dismissed it because I didn't want a spoiler to hit me. I know there will be a lot of people disappointed, but I thought she wrapped it up the way that she felt like she needed to. Not as much action in this book as the previous two. It was hard to get used to dual perspective, but I liked getting inside Four's head. Definitely miss these characters. :(
