I might have rated this a solid four stars but the fact that I listened to it with my family (my husband and eleven-year-old son both LOVED this classic!) pushes it up to five for me. Very fun adventure story! Well told with fun characters and engaging plot. I was totally engaged as the group makes their way around the world.

Really cool! I had a lot of fun reading this for the first time. I'd never read anything by Jules Verne. I had a daily portion of the story delivered through the Serial Reader app (free); it kept me from rushing through the story and I was excited to get each day's installment.

Why do all the covers include a hot air balloon!) Verne skips the action around rather randomly, not seeing fit to include anything interesting happening in Europe or on several of the ocean voy

This classic tale of a Englishman with time and money enough to make a wager that he can travel around the world in 80 days was a great adventure story. I listened to it; as I do for a lot of classics; on libravox which is one of the many places online to listen to public domain works. The various readers who tell the story sometimes bring the story to life while others distract. Overall I enjoyed the story and hope to read more of Verne's novels soon.

This was a cute, quick read, that wasn't exactly what I expected it to be, but I really enjoyed all the same.
