I look forward to the movie

Sometimes a book is a strange mixture of enjoyment despite the apparently eventual sadness that the story must hold. This is how I describe this story without spoiling it in the least. The characters quickly go from these flat, generic characters acting in their roles to people who are heartbreakingly real.

Wow. I was glued to the Kindle app on my phone for four days... I could not get away from Lou and Will's story. That immensely picture-perfect ending at a cafe in Paris! As I neared the ending of the book, I thought to myself, No, it can't end this way, no, no, no!!!!

I gave this five stars, so that shows how much I loved this book about a misfit English caregiver and her quadriplegic charge. Lots of people mentioned bawling after reading this, but the ending made me so happy and excited about life! If you can get past a few swears, this book is so touching and beautifully written. Ignored my bedtime for three days...so worth it

This was more of a 3.5 for me. It sounds weird saying this given the subject matter, but it was an enjoyable read in that it had a good flow and plot movement for the most part. One thing that bothered me was the random chapters from other characters' POV. I don't feel they added to the plot or character development. I watched a few documentaries on a similar subject and wrote a couple of papers for a class and it is definitely a thought-provoking topic. I do feel this book took more of a Lifeti

Touche, Ms. Moyes. You got me; tears and all. But though the book pulled at my heartstrings, the characters ultimately never quite felt real to me. I enjoyed the book, in a popcorn sort of way. Basically light chick-lit with a bit of seriousness mixed in. I won't spoil the book here. A good choice for a summer read, might even work for a bookclub. I'm glad I read this, but don't feel much compulsion to pick up the sequel.

What if you only 117 days to save someone's life? What would you do or say while trying to change their mind? Would it make a difference knowing that the patient, a paraplegic was once an active man who loved nothing better than to enjoy all that life had to offer and now only wants what he can no longer have? Along the way the main character learns how to live her own life while she prepares to say goodbye. I was so moved by this read, it made me laugh, cry and at times want to throw the book o
