I didn't actually read this book, but listened to the author read it on his website. He does a wonderful job, with British regional accents and all. The premise: a small child's family is murdered, but since he himself is wandering outdoors at the time, he is spared. He is taken in by the inhabitants of a nearby graveyard (yes, ghosts) and raised by them, with the help of a ... well, you'll figure it out.The killers of his birth family are still after him, and he has several encounters before th ...more

Definitely NOT for the 6th graders. May save it for 8th later. Many times I wanted to copy down passages. The writing is beautiful.
