This book felt super derivative, but many of these speculative futuristic books are. I still like the genre. This brought some unique ideas, and I enjoyed the read. It wasn't spectacular - the storytelling was just okay, the world building was meh, the characters didn't move me. I will probably read the other two books in the series because it's fun, but three years from now if you ask me about it, I probably won't remember it. That's why we have goodreads.

This is another novel about an alternate society in the future. This one is much like the Giver, but it is pretty forgettable. There wasn't much conviction in the writing--just kind of blah.

This was a very interesting book. Choice is not given in this Society. Everything is predetermined based on data collected to make the best outcome.
