I really enjoyed this book. Don isn’t your usual protagonist and Rosie isn’t your typical romantic interest, but I really loved that.
Don is a genetics professor who is coded as autistic, though it's never said outright (he does note the similarities between himself and some children with Asperger syndrome). He is also in search of the ideal woman to be his wife, and the way he is going to find her is a survey called The Wife Project, where he analyzes things such as how one feels about alcohol and how often they are late to appointments. Laugh out loud funny. Achingly sweet. Utterly charming. Worth a read regardless of your gender (aka, not chick lit). Don Tillman and Rosie are REAL characters, flawed but lovable. Trying to get through the thing called life, despite their various issues. Finding fun and companionship together, despite being sure they weren't right for each other.
