Just a wonderful historical romantic comedy. I didn’t even know that was a genre until I read this, and now I need more of it in my life. Highly recommend as a holiday or beach read or really anytime you need a good escape.

I listened to this as an audio book - and the performance was enjoyable. My only complaint was the overly effusive declarations of love. I thought it was just a little too much.

4.5 stars for this absolutely delightful romp. Clearly I’ve been missing out on this genre, where are all the other YA historical adventure books with a gay romance?!?
