I can't even give it any rating because from the outside, I can recognize it as a stunning piece of work, with truly beautiful illustrations and an interesting story. However, i choose not to read stories with too much death, violence, and blood, especially visual ones, so I did not get very far.

The best epic graphic novel I've read since Saga and Y: The Last Man. It seems simple at first, but gets increasingly complex. The drawings are beautiful, the world is well-built, and there is humor throughout. I devoured this book. I was standing up reading it while waiting for my Starbucks order. Im officially hooked. On to volume 2!

Loved it, excited for the next volume. Beautiful enough that I'm excited to share it with friends who are artsy but not comicsy.
