Nice love story with lots of good food to salivate over, but not much else. This would be a fun read for the beach in Mexico.

La primera vez, lo leí en inglés, como todavía no hablaba español.

La segunda vez, leí en español, mientras vivía en España. Por media hora, dos veces al día, dejaba el tren madrileño para entrar en un México de realismo mágico.

Acabo de escucharlo como audiolibro. La narración encantadora de Yareli Arizmendi, y la música intermitente, lo impartieron otro nivel de magia. Cuando sea posible "leer" el libro de esta manera, lo recomiendo con entusiasmo. ...more

I have mixed feelings about this one. I liked the magical realism of the story a lot, i liked the cooking and recipes. I didn't really like this family. None of them, even Tita where that likable.
