Red Rising is a captivating read. Initially, it felt like it had the perfect mix of everything, but then there was a moment that left me a bit puzzled. Though a little heavy handed at times, I really enjoyed this book. I look forward to the rest of the trilogy.

Two things first: 1) I didn't finish the book. 2) I received it as an ARC. I made it about 30% in and am just not engaged enough to keep going. I was forcing myself to read it, and kept putting it down and reading other things in between. It's well written, with some fantastic world building, and I hope I go back and finish the book. It's a very relevant dystopia with a lot to say. ...more
