Yep, I finished this book already. I was only going to read a littler bit, but then couldn't stop. Until I had to when I suddenly realized someone had put anchors on my eyelids when I hadn't noticed. I only had two or three chapters left, so that was a total buzzkill. Even though the first chapter had me giggling like a loon (do loons giggle?), it's not all laughs in Hyperbole and a Half, but has some truths about depression and self. I've followed Ms. Brosh's work for years now, but somehow never managed to read this book.
It. is. amazing.
She is funny, and silly, and wise, and did i mention amazing already?
And she speaks about mental illness in such a great way. If you know someone with a mental illness - and if you know me IRL, you already do ;) - read this if you want to understand a bit more what it's like for those who suffer from them.
From stories about cake obsessions, to homicidal dogs, to the depths of despair and ba ...more

I'm glad this resonated with so many people, but I think my enjoyment of it begins and ends with the illustrations being repurposed as memes.

If you're familiar with the blog, this will be more of the self-deprecating fun. I mean that in a good way. Some of the stories made me laugh out loud and it was overall entertaining.
