Admittedly I couldn't stand Scarlet for most of the book but it didn't stop me from enjoying the story. I ended up really liking this.

This is the second installment of the Lunar Chronicles by Marissa Meyer. I find this series very enjoyable. This second book is about Scarlet - a young woman who is trying to find her grandmother. From the beginning you can see that she is not afraid to stand up for what she believes even if it gets her into trouble! solid 3.5. In this installment of the Lunar Chronicles we meet Scar and her Wolf, follow the continuing adventures of Cinder (aka Princess Selene, or IS she?) and her new companion Captain (ahem, Cadet) Thorne in their stolen spaceship aka Iko! These are really fun reads, the author has got suspenseful pacing down, a bit slow to start but by the end you NEED the next book NOW.... alas im on hold....
I'm really starting to like this series. It really helps to read the little short stories on the authors website. It helps to fill out the story line.

4.5 stars, if only bc it's very much a "middle book" and some of the action feels unfinished. I particularly like they way the fairy tale characters have been updated to their SF bad-ass counterparts. But which tale is Thorne from? He seems a little "Flynn Rider" to me.
