Penny Reid should quit her day job and write full time.
This book is a beautiful story about death and life, love and perception. Penny Reid writes an interesting, funny, bad ass heroine (wait until you see what she does to rabid raccoons) and a very worthy bearded hero in this story about going home and finally realizing what you left behind. This book is funny, touching, hot and the beards have a life of their own. <3 the brothers!

I honestly, in my small-minded self, thought that I was going to love each character the same. That I was going to love their stories the same. And this was all because Penny Reid writes on only one level…excellence. And I found that I was wrong.
Yes, Penny Reid still writes on only one level…excellence – I am not wrong about that. I am wrong about the fact that I finally found a favorite couple and a favorite story; Ashley and Drew. I wasn’t expecting them to be my favorite but it swiftly happ ...more

O wow I really like this book! Ashley was good but Drew stole my heart **sigh** and I love love love the Winston brothers ... so I guess that truth or beard is going to jump queue and be next

I have loved the Knitting in the City. The first book was by far my favorite and I have re-read book 1 a few times, a true testament to how much I enjoyed it. I enjoyed this one too. I was looking forward to it after reading the teaser at the end of the last book, so I had a weird feeling when I first started it (as if I had read it before!), but after I got past that point in the novel, I enjoyed myself immensely. The ending was a bit weird to me, as if the hero was more remote than he had been

Wonderful
As quoted from one of my favorite movies laughter through tears is my favorite emotion. I loved almost every character in this book. The way the family cares really cares about one another was refreshing. They weren't without problems or issues but they loved. Drew was dreamy and passionate. Ashley was smart and not afraid to go toe to toe with him. I just really enjoyed this book. It gave me feels. The only thing I didn't like was that it was alll from Ashleys perspective. I prefer an ...more

This book has also been sitting on my Kindle for a while and so after reading the 'Neanderthal' duo I thought I would skip ahead and give this one a try (seeing as it combines both the Knitting ladies AND the Winston's, of which I also have another book waiting to read) and see how it compared...
This is a totally different entity - I loved all the characters though - they really make the story. The Winston bros are something else (not quite sure what yet! lol) but I am intrigued. However I was ...more
