What Members Thought

How have I not written a review for this book yet? All I can think is that it is because I read it the first time before routinely shared my thoughts about books in a public forum. That has to change.
This is one of the most beautiful, thoughtful, solid books I have ever read. I have read or listened to it more than I can count. It is the comfort food of reading for me and it is there for me when I need my cathartic moments.

This book literally took my breath away. It will tug your heart and yet comfort you too. It was disease and medicine in one. It will pull you down but definitely help you rise again. It was an experience I'd love to go through again and again. Damn, see what happens when Penny Reid does her magic? (I apologize for my lame attempt in poetry-sizing this book.)

Still refreshing and made more excited for the Winston Brothers books. Always refreshing and quirky fun. I love Ashley and her brothers relationship. I saw how they grew later on as well.
Ashley and Drew got off on a rocky start but there's something about the good old ranger that is easy, poetic and draws you. Ashley isn't as one dimensional as you'd think. She feels deeply and has many facets to her. I feel like she grew throughout this book.

I’m only going to say this once. It’s something I have never said in my entire life. This book made me LOL. That’s right folks, I said it. I laughed out loud in that spontaneous “I don’t care who is around” kind of way. Multiple times. And it garnered some sideways glances.
Penny Reid writes like my friends and I talk and that makes me love her characters even more. The Winstons and Drew Runous charm the pants right off of me. Ashley is strong and courageous before, during, and after tragedy str ...more

Since I didn't get to go meet Penny today in Houston at a book signing, I figured I'd buy one of her books to make myself feel better. I LOVED this story the best of all so far! It might be because of all the bearded beauties, but this story was just lovely.
