The Terror: Dan Simmons
I felt very conflicted about this book when I finished it; stuck between deciding whether I had enjoyed it or not. It had taken me nearly 3 months to read, but I can hardly blame that on the story or the writing. Sometimes being an adult is so exhausting, reading at the end of the night seems like an impossible task.

Week 43 of the 2016 Reading Challenge: A book about a thing that goes bump in the night.
I listened to this audiobook on my drive from MA to PA and it kept me interested the entire time. It was a good story although it sort of fell apart during the last chapter.

This book was fantastic. It was, by turns, reminiscent of Melville, Stephen King, Jon Krakauer, and Neil Gaiman. Pretty intense and graphic at times, but what a story!
