I wanted to read the book before I saw the movie. I didn't have any "real" idea what the book was going to be about. I knew it was post-apocalyptic and a coming of age book.

In some ways I found this book a “Hunger Games” wanna be. I loved the “Hunger Games.” I could not get enough of it. I think I read all 3 books in a weekend.

I do not have the same feelings about this book. I liked the book. I was not "wowed" by this book.

Initial thoughts: The last 50 pages totally ruined it for me and now I don't even feel compelled to read the next two books. I feel kinda bad about it because all my friends gave this 4-5 stars. SORRY. Guess I have a lot of explaining to do when I write a full review for this. ...more
