3.5 stars. Better than the previous, but the architectural babble was a bit too much for me. The murder mystery and the police work in general had a more satisfying conclusion than the previous book. At the same time the ending felt exactly like the closing minutes of a cop procedural episode, with the sudden epiphany, the "unusual suspect" who most conveniently decides to implicate himself to the smallest details once in custody. ...more

Having recently been to London and stayed in the area this book is based was a real plus. The mix of fantasy and criminal investigation meshes well.
